Executive Director/President:
Mike Martinez

While his favorite role is being Dad to Hannah's sisters Haley and Hadynn, Mike Martinez has been the executive director and president of Hannah's Hope since its inception in 2010. With the support of his beautiful wife and their friends and family, Mike began Hannah's Hope by combining two things he loves-Hannah & golf! As a graduate of Portage High School, Mike can often be heard as the announcer at many home sporting events. Now a sales representative for Coastal Valley Water, Mike is active in his community and is proud of all Hannah's Hope has and will continue to accomplish.

Co-Founder
Mary Martinez

In addition to being Hannah's mom, Mary Martinez is a graduate of Portage High School and the University of Evansville. During her time at UE, she not only earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, but also was an active volunteer in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America program. She currently works as a nurse to the hospital's cutest patients- the tiny babies in the NICU. Mary is the hub of Hannah's Hope operations and supports all board members and committees with her superior organizational skills. Most notably, Mary is a loving mom to Hannah's sisters Haley and Hadynn.

Mary Martinez, along with her husband Mike and their families, founded Hannah's Hope with the inaugural golf outing in 2010 in honor of their daughter, Hannah Grace Martinez. The inspiration behind Hannah's Hope is based on their discovery that, in addition to the day-to-day tasks of caring for a child with special needs, many families were burdened by the astronomical costs of therapy and equipment.

Vice President:
Megan Witherspoon

Along with being Vice President of Hannah's Hope, Megan is also the Chief Financial Officer and a licensed insurance producer specializing in children's life insurance and college funding at Payne Financial Solutions in Valparaiso, Indiana. Megan has been friends with Mike and Mary since 2004. She was asked to help with the very first golf outing in 2010, and was elected Vice President in 2011. Hannah's Hope holds a special place in her heart, as Hannah was not only her friends' daughter but a "niece" to her as well. Megan recently married her husband Tim and they have become proud parents to their daughter Vivian. Now that the Hannah's Hope playground is open, Megan and Tim are looking forward to spending a good deal of time there with Vivian. Megan cannot wait to see what else Hannah's Hope can do for the community and kids.

Treasurer:
Scott Carr

Scott has been on the board since 2011 and was elected treasurer in 2013. He resides in Valparaiso, with his wife, Renee, and his three children: Whitney, Natalya, and Sawyer. He is employed by Urschel Laboratories, in Chesterton, Indiana. He enjoys golf, bowling, and coaching his kids in their sports. Scott is active in all of Hannah's Hope events and chairs the Shamrock Shootout bowling tournament and family fun bowl. "This is a great organization that started with the vision of two amazing people and when Mike approached me about joining the board, I was honored and it was an easy decision to make!"

Secretary:
Joe Hall

Joe was added to the board as Secretary in 2018, and has been a big supporter of Hannah's Hope since the beginning, including as the Event Coordinator for the Shamrock Shootout Bowling Tournament and Family Fun Bowl. Joe resides in Valparaiso with his wife, Tracy, daughter, Brooklyne, and retired K9, Femmy. Joe is also a Patrol Sergeant for the Valparaiso Police Department, and near completing his Bachelor Degree (General Studies) at Southern New Hampshire University within a concentration of Police Operation and Administration. Hannah's Hope has always been special to Joe, as he has known Mike and Mary for nearly 30 years, and considers them and their family an extension of his own. Being a part of the work that has been completed by Hannah's Hope has been an honor, and Joe is excited about the possibilities that are in the future. Joe enjoys golfing, and spending time with his friends and family in his down time, and looks forward to seeing everyone at future Hannah's Hope events.
